Construction Updates 

Welcome to our Construction Updates page! We hope this will serve as a valuable tool to those who reside in the Town of Windham and to those who commute through the Town of Windham. 

As always, please use caution in and around work zones, and whenever possible seek alternate routes. Contact Public Works at 892-1909 for information.


Highland Cliff Road -  The section from Pope Road to the Church will be reclaimed and base paved this year. The remaining section of Highland Cliff Road to Canada Hill Road will be shim paved in spots. At this time the entire length is scheduled to have surface pavement in 2017. 
        William Knight Road - Public Works has completed ditching & culvert work. FR Carroll has scheduled the reclaiming and base pavement for the entire length beginning on Wednesday September 21, 2016. Recently the Maine DOT inspected the Bridge over Pleasant River on William Knight Road. Due to structural defects they have posted the bridge to 3 tons only. At this time MDOT has not provided any long range plan for this bridge. 
            Evergreen Lane - Overlay is scheduled to begin on Monday September 26, 2016. This work will be performed by FR Carroll.
          Haven Road - 

The Public section of Haven Road has been scheduled for surface pavement after Evergreen Lane is completed.

        Morgan Lane - 

Public Works will be ditching and cleaning culverts on Morgan Lane beginning in August. 
        Miscellaneous -

  Public Works will be performing other drainage projects within the town as time and man power permit.
    Please slow down when commuting through work zones. There have been several close calls due to excessive speed this season. We do not want to see anyone injured or worse. If you have any issues or questions please call the Public Works Office. 207-892-1909

    A paving update;  from F.R. Carrol that they have moved up the Evergreen Lane paving to tomorrow Friday 9-23-16.  As long as the weather holds and they can complete it Friday they will pave Haven Road Monday 9-26-16.  William Knight Road reclaiming is ongoing with base paving planned for Wednesday 9-28-16.
