Children, birth-24 months. Program lasts approximately 20 minutes, and includes songs, fingerplays, and a story. This program has several goals: to provide early experiences for children with the spoken word, to provide a chance for parents/caregivers to share activities with children, and to create enjoyment for all during story time. It is very helpful for the adults to model the activities by participating with their child. For more info, contact the Children's Room: 207-892-1908.

Put on a library lab coat, and begin to hypothesize, explore, react, and be energized. Hands on experiments will range from creating Crash Test Balloons to Exploding Watermelons. This science program is designed for students entering grades 2–8 and parents/caregivers are encouraged to stay and have fun, too. Some programs will be outside, weather permitting. For more information, call the Children's Room at (207) 892-1908.
