Our next Election Day is Tuesday, November 7, 2023 and the polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm in the Windham High School Gymnasium, at 406 Gray Road. Voters are asked to please park in the second parking lot off from Educational Drive and enter through the gym door #16. Sample ballots will be viewable about 30 days before the election. Absentee ballots should be available by October 5.
The town clerk handles the following:
- Dog Licensing
- Hunting / Fishing Licensing
- Business Licenses & Permits
- Elections
- Notary and Dedimus Service
- Record the Minutes at all Council Meetings
- Vital Records
- Assist Tax Collection/Auto Registration in Collecting Property Taxes
- Assist Tax Collection/Auto Registration in Registering Autos, Boats, and ATVs
- Marriage Licenses: Marriage Licenses are issued between the hours of 8:00 - 3:00. Please allow 30 minutes for processing. Printing off the Intention form and filling it out ahead will save time.

Mission Statement
The clerk is considered the keeper of the town's records. The Municipal Clerk's Office provides excellent customer service and serves the public in a courteous and friendly manner. We give support to the Town Council and the citizens of the Town of Windham.
We take pride in the way we supervise all our elections. Voter registration is handled in accordance with Maine Law and the Town Charter. If we do not know an answer to a question, we will find the answer or find someone who can help.
