The Windham Food Pantry is open to Windham residents with proof of residency. Residents are provided with food on a monthly basis. Please call to schedule an appointment to visit the Food Pantry. Food and non-food donations are accepted Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monetary donations are accepted Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Town Manager's Office or by mail at 8 School Rd, Windham, ME 04062.

The National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs provide nutritionally balanced low-cost or free meals to children in public and private schools and residential child care institutions. The programs are supported with cash reimbursement and USDA Foods. All families in the Food Supplement Program automatically qualify for free school meals. If you wish to apply for this program, applications may be obtained on-line or by calling the Food Service Director at 207-892-1800.

This program provides up to five meals each week. Volunteers and agency staff deliver meals four days a week (no deliveries on Wednesdays) and generally arrive between 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Meals are delivered either frozen or pre-heated based on client request or need. There is a suggested donation of $3.50 per meal. This service is provided by the Southern Maine Agency on Aging. Please call 1-800-400-6325 for more information.

A community dinner is hosted by local churches to serve the Windham community. From September through May except when a Monday is a legal Holiday: The 1st Monday the meal site is at North Windham Union Church; The 2nd Monday the meal site is Our Lady of Perpetual Help; and The 3rd & 4th Mondays are at Windham Hill Church. *Please note that in November, the Monday of Thanksgiving week is at North Windham Union Church because of the large attendance. From June through August, the meal site is at St. Ann's Episcopal Church on the first 4 Mondays of each of those months. Now on the rare 5th Mondays throughout the year the meal site is at Standish Congregational Church on Oak Hill Road, Standish.

A Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women. The program also supports infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk. Opportunity Alliance administers the WIC program.
