...A LONG DURATION WINTER STORM WILL BRING A FINAL ROUND OF SNOW TO PORTIONS OF THE REGION THROUGH TUESDAY...
.Snow will be light and intermittent across much of the area through early evening, with only snow showers expected in many areas. A second low will develop just off the New England coast tonight and will intensify as it tracks east across the Gulf of Maine through Tuesday. This will bring a final round of accumulating snow back into the area tonight. The heaviest snow will likely occur late tonight into Tuesday across central and midcoast Maine, as well as southwest coastal Maine including the Portland area.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches. Highest amounts are expected on the coast. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph on the coast.
* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Maine.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 5 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially late tonight into Tuesday morning.
