[ARCHIVED] Absentee Voting

Absentee Vote

To the Town of Windham residents who plan to vote by absentee ballot:  The deadline to request an absentee ballot (online, telephone and written) is Thursday, October 29th.  The last day that people may vote in-person by absentee is Friday, October 30th.  The Town Clerk’s Office, will be open late on this day to allow voters to vote by absentee.  We ask residents to please not wait until the last minute to help avoid lines and long wait times.   We also would like to encourage everyone who needs to change their name or address or register to vote to please do so now.

Please view the Governor’s recent Executive Order to protect the health and safety of Maine voters, poll workers, and election officials and to facilitate access to safe in-person and absentee voting in the November general election.

You may request an absentee ballot on the State of Maine site or by calling the Town Clerk’s Office at 892-1900.  Ballots are expected to arrive the first few days of October.  Once received they will be mailed to residents who have requested them.  Thank you.
