Town of Windham Selects Assistant Town Manager

The Town of Windham is pleased to announce that Mr. Robert Burns, Jr., PE has been selected as Windham’s Assistant Town Manager.  Robert brings with him a breadth and depth of knowledge that will be a huge asset to the Town.  He has over 23 years of successful municipal leadership and project management experience – most recently as the Director of Public Works for the Town of Gorham, Maine where he has managed over $12M in sewer, water, and public infrastructure development projects, as well as developing, implementing, and enforcing a Stormwater Management Program.  His experience in municipal budgeting and forecasting for long range projects will be put to good use as the Town moves forward with its numerous planning and development initiatives. 

Robert started his career as a Civil Engineer in the private sector and brings that skill set also. In addition to his public and private sector experience, Robert has been involved with GPCOG, PACTS, EcoMaine and the Portland Water District, where he currently serves on the Board of Trustees.   Robert very much looks forward to this next step in his career with the Town of Windham and the Town anxiously awaits his arrival on December 6th.
