Why should I have my child seat checked by a Child Safety Seat Technician (CSST)?

82% of child safety seats are misused in some way. 8 out of 10 child safety seats are improperly installed. As children grow, they should progress through three types of child safety seats, rear facing seats to forward facing seats to booster seats, before using the seat belt by itself. Many seats are subject to recalls and a Child Safety Seat Technician will have current recall lists. For more information please visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website.
